First Sip Fridays: Pairing Food Flavors & Wine
You’ve heard red wine pairs with steak and white wine with fish but why?
Salty or sour foods can completely change the taste of a wine, for better or worse. Each monthly "Pairings" class will focus on a taste sensation (salty, sour, bitter, sweet) and feature a group of wines. You will be the taste tester to see what works and what doesn’t. After this class, you’ll be the go-to person for wine pairings!
October: Mediterranean Flair
Does a crisp, fresh wine work with fresh Mediterranean food? Find out:
Sour and cured (green olives)
Clean, even soapy (cilantro)
Crisp, sweet and juicy (red bell pepper)
First Sip Fridays: Have your first drink of the night with us! The second, third and fourth Friday of each month we will feature an hour long wine class to kick start your weekend. Stop by, enjoy some great wine and learn a little for only $19/person. Think of it as an educational happy hour!
